Make restaurant style Paneer Crispy Chilli at home with this step by step recipe with pictures. Paneer is tossed in a aromatic spicy sauce made with schezwan , tomato, soya and chilli sauce. Generally paired with fried rice or hakka noodles.

Paneer Crispy Chilli

It is a Indo-Chinese cuisine. It’s the Indian version of Chinese.

It is  so popular among the youngsters, also liked by adults and kids. that's why we have many  Indo-Chinese restaurant in every big or small cities of India.

Paneer Crispy Chilli is one of the polpular Indo-chinese recipes. During this lockdown we can not go out for enjoying these recipes. Today I will  share my restaurant style Paneer Crispy Chilli  recipe with you guys feeling excited!

There are two types of chilli paneer that are popular in India – the dry version which is served as an appetizer and the gravy version which is eaten as a main course with rice or noodles.

I am sharing a dry version with you guys today. It has a little sauce and you can serve it as an appetizer.

If you follow recipe step by step, as per shown in picture and steps  you can make Restaurant style Paneer Crispy Chilli  – MSG(Ajinomoto)! Less which is far more tastier and healthier than what we get at restaurant. 

Preparations: chop the vegetables, get the sauce ready – do everything before you start making the recipe. You can fry the paneer, set it aside and then do all the preparation work before you start working on the sauce.

       

Since we cook everything on high heat flame, it all comes together quickly and we don't get time to chop anything in between.

Use olive oil:  I have used  olive oil in this Paneer Crispy Chilli  recipe and it does make a difference to the final taste.

Use spring Onion:  I used spring onion for this recipe of Paneer Crispy Chilli as it was easily available to me  if you do not have you can you sliced onlion for this. 

Use coriander: Using finely chopped coriander really enhances the flavors.   

Cook on high heat: when cooking the veggies, the wok should constantly be oh high heat. You want all veggies to remain crunchy. Lower the flame once you have added the sauce.

Serving Suggestions for Chilli Paneer

You can serve this Paneer crispy chilli as an appetizer.

If serving as an appetizer, serve it as such.

If serving as a main course, pair it with plain rice, fried rice or hakka noodles.

Ingredients:

For paneer frying

           250 gram       - Paneer    

           2 tablespoon - cornflour

            3 tablespoon       - Oil             

For preparing sauce

               1 tablespoon -  Shimla Mirch   
               1 tablespoon - Carrot 
               1 tablespoon -  spring Onion
               1 tablespoon -  Onion
               1  teaspoon   -   Green chilly    
               2 teaspoon    - Ginger- garlic paste
               2 teaspoon    -  schezwan sauce
               2 teaspoon    -  Tomato sauce
               2 teaspoon    -   Soya sauce
               2 tablespoon -   Oil
               as per taste    - Salt

To make cornflour Slurry

               1 tablespoon - Cornflour
               2 tablespoon - Water

 Method

Cut the paneer into cubes. Take cornflour in plate. Spread it evenly in a plate.

Put paneer cube one by one  to the cornflour and coat each of them nicely from all the sides.


Take oil in the frying pan allow it to get hot and then add coated paneer cubes to the hot oil.

Fry until the paneer pieces get golden brown and crispy from both sides. Strain the fried paneer on tissue paper.


Also mix 1 tablespoon cornflour with 2 tablespoons water until cornflour dissolves completely and set aside.

Heat oil on high heat. Once oil is hot, add the ginger, garlic,  and green chili. Saute for 1 minute.


Cook for 2 minutes. Veggies should remain crunchy and you should cook on high heat.

Add in the prepared sauce and mix and lower heat to medium.


 Then add in the prepared cornflour slurry. Mix well, sauce will begin to thicken.


Stir in the fried paneer cubes. Toss to combine the paneer with the sauce.


Turn off heat and garnish with green onions.
